Emptiness. That’s all she felt, the hollow feeling inside of her chest that never seemed to leave. It was always there; the pain as fresh as newly fallen snow. She tried to be happy, she really did, but it just wasn’t the same. He wasn’t there. The man whose name was not said in fear of upsetting her. It didn’t matter though, it all hurt the same—his name said or not.
She was grateful for the comforting and concerned people around her, but nothing would bring the old Amelia Pond back—she was too broken. Her days passed in a blur, not having meaning. It was as if she weren’t there, only simply observing every now and then only to be interrupted by her own corruptious thoughts. She was simply lost, not sure what to do in the world.
